Thomas Dominates Brits

Sonya Thomas dominated the UK competitors in the World Mince Pie Eating Championship at the Big Top restaurant at Wookey Hole Caves in Wells Somerset, England, by consuming 46 mince pies -- 31 more than the second-place finisher.

Sonya set a new world record for mice pie eating in the process. Local eater Shane Bridle ate 15 pies to place second, and AD Tree Pirate placed third with 13.5 of the delicious, but rich, mince pies.

Other competitors included a 74-year-old woman, who was dressed in a clown outfit and billed as the world's oldest professional eater.
